The Hidden Crisis Affecting Millions
The problem we're solving
We’re living through an unprecedented stress epidemic:
Workplace stress contributes to over 120,000 deaths annually
Increasing chronic health conditions like diabetes, cancer and heart disease
Heightened mental health challenges like anxiety, depression and burnout
Sleep disorders and chronic fatigue have become the norm
Billions spent annually on substances and behaviours to numb emotional pain
The Real Impact of Chronic Stress
When your nervous system gets stuck in survival mode, your body shifts from healing and growth to mere survival. This doesn’t just affect your physical health, it impairs your ability to think clearly, solve problems, and respond effectively to life’s challenges.

Understanding trauma as an internal experience
A revolutionary approach
Traditional approaches treated trauma as external events. Today, we understand trauma as your nervous system’s internal response to those events. It’s not just what happens to you, it’s how your body responds. The Body Project focuses on what you can control: Your nervous system’s response.

Why this works
Just like learning an instrument, the more consistently you apply these techniques, the more natural and transformative they become. This isn’t about perfection, it’s about progress and practice. What are Somatic Exercises?
Somatic Practices Explained
Somatic exercises use gentle movements and awareness practices to help you reconnect with your body and regulate your nervous system.
These exercises help the body to recognise safety cues through vegal stimulation.
By activing the vagus nerve, the body's natural brake pedal, somatic exercises help to promote relaxation, digestion, emotional balance, and a deep sense of safety. Helping you to shift from survival mode into a state of calm, balance, and connection.
In simple terms, somatic exercises help your body remember the feeling of safety.
